East Bay Science
making science accessible, touchable, and fun
East Bay Science
East Bay Science helps schools in central Alameda county present museum quality science nights for free.
Charlie Reynes, a former science specialist, a 2007 California Teacher of the Year, and a recipient of the 2008 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching created East Bay Science as a retirement project. His goal, to build school community while making hands-on science accessible, touchable, and fun.
Here's what you get for almost nothing:
Science Night Your multipurpose room will be filled with science activities for the whole family to enjoy (See photos). Students and their caregivers will engage with more than twenty high interest, hands-on science exhibits. East Bay Science provides four set ups of each exhibit so there's always something new and exciting for students to explore. The school provides the community, the facility, and the prints the passports. East Bay Science provides the activities- for free.
The 2024-25 science night program is fully booked.
Use this Registration Form to be placed on our mailing list for the 2025-2026 science night season. You will also be the first to know when new programs are developed.
East Bay Science Facebook Group Members will receive early access to registration for science nights and all other events sponsored by EBS. Most importantly, you will be part of a small group of dedicated science educators working to improve their craft and bring hands-on science to students in the East Bay.
